Birchbrae luxury self catering lodges

On foot from the Lodges

Inchree Waterfall

Head up the track past the lodges and turn right when it forks. On the first bend is a sign to the right saying Forest Trail. Go down here and you will come out in a Forest Enterprise car park with the footpath leading to the Inchree Waterfall. If you continue on the footpath past the waterfall you can come back via the forest track. There are great views down Loch Linnhe.

This takes 2 hours at a gentle stroll

Ardgour

Take the Corran Ferry which is free for foot passengers. Turn right and walk down as far as the church. Turn left into the woods and you will pass some Lochans (small Lochs!). You can continue and complete a round trip coming back via Clovullin. Stop off at the Inn at Ardgour for a pint or cup of tea.

Bunree

Go back down to the main road and turn left. Walk along the pavement and take the first right. At the little T junction turn right and walk for 250 metres. There is a gate on the left and this leads you down to a little shingle beach. The rocks here are good for sea fishing.

This makes a nice half hour walk after supper!

Bunree Caravan Site

This is really a Winter option as the Caravan site is in full flow from Easter to October.

Turn left at the bottom of the track and walk along the pavement towards Onich. Turn right down the road to the Caravan site and enjoy the peacefulness on a late Autumn or Winter's day.

Behind the lodges

Head up the track behind the lodges but turn left where the track forks. This is a dead end but there are nice views over Loch Linnhe to Ardgour and it is a good place to walk the dog.

This is no more than a half hour walk.
