Do you provide baby cots and high chairs
Yes, we can provide a foldable travel cot/playpen and highchairs (a small charge will apply). Please note that cot bedding is not provided.
Do you offer short breaks?
Yes, we offer short breaks all year round. Our minimum stay is 4 nights although 3 night stays are sometimes available. Please click on 'availability and booking' to check your dates.
Can I play free golf?
In April and May 2008, guests can play unlimited golf at Fort William Golf Club. After May, guests can take advantage of one free round of golf per person at Ballachulish House Golf Course (for up to 3 guests). Further free rounds may be available depending on availability. Entry is by membership tag and a deposit of £20 per person is required which will be refunded on return of the tag. Tee-off times must be booked in advance and is subject to availability. In addition to this, half price rounds are available at Fort William Golf Club.
Can I book more than one lodge?
We do not accept group bookings booked online. If you require more than one lodge please call us on 01855 821261 or e mail info@birchbrae.com
Can I smoke in the lodge?
All our lodges are now no smoking lodges. You can however smoke on the verandah which has outdoor chairs, a table and is weatherproof (from the rain!)
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we allow 2 pets per lodge. There is a £10 charge per pet. We do ask that they are not left on their own in the lodge.
I am disabled. Will I be able to come to Birchbrae?
Yes. We have one lodge which is specially designed to be fully inclusive. Find out more information about our Lodges with Disabled Facilities here.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
No, except for food. All linen and towels are included as well as soap and things such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels and dishcloths. Other things provided include a big torch, kitchen roll, large clothes airer and refuse sacks. If you plan on doing any clothes washing you might want to bring some washing powder with you.
Is there an iron and hairdrier?
Yes, we provide an iron and ironing board as well as a hairdrier.
