Lodge 5 at Birchbrae has been enhanced to provide a number of facilities for guests with mobility difficulties. It has all the luxurious features of the other six lodges but in addition has a number of wheelchair friendly adaptations. Birchbrae provides the ideal opportunity for those with a disability to have a luxurious self-catering break near Glencoe and Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland.
Whilst lodge 5 is perfect for disabled holiday accommodation, it has been designed with inclusivity in mind so is also suitable for able bodied guests.
Please note lodge 5 has two bathrooms both with showers. There is no bath in this lodge.

There is parking directly outside Lodge 5 and full ramp access into the single storey disabled accommodation. The accommodation itself is spacious and has ample room for manoeuvring in a wheelchair or with sticks/crutches. Note that Lodge 5 may not be suitable for all types of electric wheelchairs or electric scooters. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
TWO SHOWER ROOMS
Lodge 5 has two bathrooms (both shower only) and one has a wheel in shower area with shower seat provided.
SPACE TO MANOEUVRE & PARK
The Lodge has wooden flooring in both the master bedroom and the rear bedroom for ease of movement and the verandah has been enlarged to provide ample space for both sitting and access. There is a disabled parking space reserved outside Lodge 5.
We just love going to Birchbrae Lodges as a family. The lodges are spacious and there's so much for the whole family to see & do in the area.
Our kids love Birchbrae and exploring the area. The free leisure facilities are a great bonus for any rainy days. The squirrels are a huge hit too.
